Every year, the Bundestag treats itself to two months of summer vacation – no matter how many crises there are. But younger people in particular expect politics to show sustained commitment. Instead, several important topics are not tackled because of the sleepiness of politicians.
Together with seven artists, fritz-kola released #keinschlaflieder (lullabyebyes), wake-up songs about climate protection, everyday racism, or social justice, on all major streaming platforms. To accompany this, a social-first campaign drew attention to the album. But that wasn’t all: 11 cents were donated to the “Brand New Bundestag” initiative with every stream. and even in front of the Bundestag building itself, wakefulness ruled: right before the end of the summer recess, fritz switched to play, and performed excerpts from the album for a whole day in the government district – loud and attention-grabbing. politics may sleepwalk: the good never sleeps.
